Curriculum Week

Wow! What a busy week we've had.

Curriculum Week began with Science Day. The day began with a special assembly led by Wizard Lizzie. What fun watching her explode balloons, just by using bicarbonate of soda and vinegar.

We continued to investigate throughout the day.

We introduced scientific vocabulary such as 'liquid' and 'solid' when investigating cornflour.

We matched bones to different parts of the body. We found out that the bone in our head is called a 'skull'.

We found out that magnets attract metal objects.

We also learnt about how a marble moves through our construction.

As a class, we 'predicted' what may happen during an experiment, and also used scientific vocabulary such as 'air' and 'lungs'.

We found out what materials would be most suitable to make a boat.
Did you know that stone would sink?

PE Day was filled with lots of sporty and healthy activities.
We got our hearts pumping during a dance session with Mrs Khan.

We learnt football skills with Mr Cusack. The children are amazing footballers.

We also learnt that it is important to look for space when travelling on scooters.

In the hall, we had a great gym session with Miss Silver.
We used all our skills to jump, climb, balance and move.

The day ended with a 'healthy eating' session with Mrs Evans.
We learnt that fruit is a good healthy option.
We cut the fruit and used skewers to create a healthy fruit kebab. They were delicious.
